As per directive of Ministry of Coal, Hindalco Industries Limited (60%) & The Tata Power Company Limited (40%) formed a JV company by the name Tubed Coal Mines Ltd. for the development of the coal block which was incorporated on 25.09.07. |
The total in-situ reserve is 189.82(166.97- Proved & 22.86- Indicated) Million to in 13 Co-relatable coal seams and quality varying from D to G, predominantly F grade. |
Recently mining plan has been approved by MoC for 6MTY rated annual production capacity of coal mine by open cast method, totaling about 139.465 MTY during the life of the mine. |
